We believe that yoga is for everyone regardless of age, body type, or experience level – it’s never too late to start your yoga practice. At Hot Yoga Chelsea our mission is to provide a genuine and fulfilling hot yoga practice that will contribute to the physical and emotional health of our students. Yoga has the potential to be a lifelong practice, especially when you are encouraged to come and just do the best that you can. Our traditional Bikram-inspired Hot Yoga & Hot Vinyasa is suitable for beginners, and offer multiple benefits including increase in flexibility, balance, strength, elevated mood, weight loss, and more!
Non-waiver:
It is a common practice for yoga studios and gyms to greet you with a registration form which in essence says; “Sign up! Pay us and we take no responsibility for your well being.” We have always struggled with that being the basis of our relationship with our students. Therefore we believe that we are in partnership with you, and that if you agree to the following common sense guidelines we are certain that you will have a healthy, empowering experience that will enrich your well-being.
- No Teacher knows what your are feeling physically, mentally or emotionally.
- Listen to your body, listen to your intuition. If you are unaccustomed to this, yoga provides you the opportunity to develop it.
- Never force, muscle, or aggressively perform the asanas/yoga poses. Moderate your enthusiasm with wisdom. Be active NOT aggressive.
- Your breath is a great barometer of your practice; if your breath becomes choppy, short or strained…. it’s your bodies way of telling you to back off and take a break.

Just go, you won’t regret it.
I do however sometimes have certain issues with some of the instructors, controlling, high strung, fear driven energy. I think to myself, is this yoga or am I training to be a Navy SEAL? What happened to do what’s right for your body? I took a break and realized that I should still go. I can either avoid those instructors or talk to them about my needs and boundaries. At the end of the day we are all adults.
I wish that they had more reusable friendly options like a filtered water fountain. When you rent a towel I would prefer that it actually be one that is ment for a Yoga mat so it can actually cover all of it. Sometimes when I come to the 7 am class the room isn’t hot enough yet. This is not my first studio so I know these things are possible.
I love Andy’s HIIT class. His energy is the same in and out of the Yoga room. I love taking Myrna’s & James class!

The experience in the beginning was amazing as well, they really do take care of you in regards to hydration & preparations.

The studio has such a cozy, welcoming vibe, and the staff is genuinely some of the nicest people you’ll meet. They offer classic Bikram yoga along with Hot HIIT and hot mat Pilates, so there’s something for everyone, whether you’re into deep stretching or a more intense sweat session. I LOVE their 90 minute classes personally.
The instructors are amazing—super knowledgeable, encouraging, and passionate about what they do. Plus, the prices are really reasonable compared to other boutique studios in the city, which makes it even better. They always have great deals for class packages and they’re super welcoming to beginners.
If you’re looking for a place that truly prioritizes the yoga experience without the pretentiousness, this is it. Every class leaves you feeling refreshed, strong, and totally energized. I have been going here for 2 years and counting and it’s my favorite workout spot in the city: lowkey, unpretentious, understanding, with a great community feel. Highly recommend!
